RFID Based Health Care Monitoring

Day by day the popularity of Radio Frequency Identification Technology is rapidly increasing. Almost in every field, RFID system can be used for handling inventories, security checks, etc. In the same way, we can use RFID System in healthcare monitoring system to manage patients and their medication. In this article, we are going to discuss about health monitoring system which consists of three sections Patient Registration System (PRS), Medication Management System (MMS) and Asset Monitoring System (AMS). There are three user groups are present in this system like doctors, nurses and patients.

In Patient Registration System, Every Patient is getting registered in hospital care monitoring system. At the time of registration, RFID Band is given to patient to wear in his naked hand so that doctors and nurses can get patient’s information. Data information contains patient’s whole personal information, his medical history details and his medical drugs doses information.

In Medication Management System, in case, patient forgets to take any drug dose then he and his nurse get notified to remainder about it. In case, medical condition of patient is disturbed then doctor and nurse get notified about that through patients RFID band. In case of critical situation, there is no need to search patient’s medical history as it is already there in his RFID band. So whenever doctor need patient’s information, he has to just read his RFID band via RFID Reader card which is present in the pocket of doctor.

In Asset Monitoring System, doctors and nurses can check the live status of each and every medical equipment position and its present utility. Here, to track every assets of hospital, every objects and machines, has been allotted a unique RFID tag. Through that tag, doctors and nurses can track each and every asset.

With the help of this RFID based healthcare monitoring system, we can organize each and everything inside the hospitals. We can even maintain database of every individual patient. Through this system, hospital management trusty can easily find out the working performances and outcome of each and every employee of hospital. Evenif, trusties can easily check accounts and all billing using this system. This RFID based system not only simplifies hospital management system but also it will improve its working efficiency. By using this system, doctors and nurses can easily keep track of more patients as compared to normal manual systems.

In case of recurring patients, there is no need to register them again and again. Only they need to show their RFID band and doctor will get every information about him and his past visits medical history.

• JQuery Library : We have used many of the jQuery Library in the project such as Calendar
