IOT based Vehicle Tracking System using GPS

Modules and Description of IOT GPS Cloud Based Realtime Vehicle Tracking System Project:

Vehicle Module :

The main purpose of this module is provide all the functionality realted to vehicle. This Vehicle module is an important module in this project IOT GPS Cloud Based Realtime Vehicle Tracking System which we have developed. It tracks all the information and details of the vehicle. In this module you can manage all the information related the the vehicles, you can assign device to the vehicle.

Features of Vehicle Module:

• Admin can add new vehicle records and assign tracking device
• Admin can see the list of vehicle details
• Only admin can edit and update the record of the vehicle
• Admin will be able to delete the records of the vehicle
• All vehicle forms are validated on client side using JavaScript

Tracking Module :

Tracking module is very important module of this project, which gets latitude and longitude from devices and using google map API get the details of places from that latitude and longitude and log it into database.

Features of Tracking Module:

• Provide API for integartion with IOT hardware devices, like NodeMCU, Arduino, Mobile etc
• Admin can track vehicle realtime on google maps
• Admin can see all the locations details with date and time
• Customer can track their shipments using the tracking ID
• Provides google map API integrations

Customer Module :

Customer module has been developed for managing all the informations related to customers, its available for admin only from where admin can add new customer and manage the full information of the customers.

Features of Customer Module:

• Admin can add new customer records
• Admin can see the list of customer details
• Only admin can edit and update the record of the customer
• Admin will be able to delete the records of the customer
• All customer forms are validated on client side using JavaScript

Device Module :

This module we have developed for managing all of the device information, you can add any number of devices in this project and those devices will be rendered in dropdown at the time of vehicle adding. You can assign multiple vehicles tracking in a single device.

Features of Device Module:

• Admin can add new device records
• Admin can see the list of device details
• Only admin can edit and update the record of the device
• Admin will be able to delete the records of the device
• All device forms are validated on client side using JavaScript

Software component for the project to develop user interface for (IOT GPS Cloud Based Vehicle Tracking System)

• Embedded C Language : All the hardware interface coding has been done in Embedded C Language
• PHP : All the business logic and the web interface has been written in PHP
• MySQL : MySQL database has been used as database for the project
• Apache 2 : The web interface is running over the apache2 server
• JavaScript : For from validations and animation effects
• JQuery Library : We have used many of the jQuery Library in the project such as Calendar
• Cloud Enviroment : You can host the application on any Cloud like AWS, Google Cloud - GCP, Azure

We can configure this project on following operating system.

• Windows : This project can easily be configured on windows operating system. For running this project on Windows system, you will have to install WAMP or XAMP Server.
• Linux : You can run this project also on all versions of Linux operating system
• Mac : You can also easily configured this project on Mac operating system.

You can use any GPS device to send locations - latitude and longitude, which provides API integration. Our application will automatically capture the information and plot the markers on google map and list places. Even you can use Android Mobile app to send your current locations to track the things.
