RFID Based Car Parking System

Now days, with increasing population, the density of cars on the road is suddenly increased. Due to the increasing demand of cars, there is big issue that we are facing now days which is of car parking and its management especially in crowded areas, market places and all. For this problem, we proposed one best unique innovative solution in this article which is RFID IOT based car parking system module. By using this project module, we can easily control and manage car parking more effectively. In this system, we are allocating RFID Tag or Label to every car. RFID tag contains car owner details, car parking slot and parking duration. Whenever some car owner comes for parking his car in the parking slot, he will get one RFID tag that contains his whole information. RFID Screen Indicator will indicate him about his car parking slot in the parking arena.

After this, by parking his car, car owner has to swipe his RFID card tag on RFID card reader which is present over there to start parking timer. Later on when he come back to take his parked car, he has to again swiped his RFID tag with RFID reader to stop parking time counter and for bill generation. At the last, he has to return his RFID tag to parking area supervisor so that he will see car owner’s parking bill and can manage billing transaction.

By using this RFID based car parking system, anyone can easily manage and control car parking and can also handle huge crowd. This is the effective and smart way of handling the people and to avoid their traffic mess. Now in almost all smart cities, this type of car parking system has been installed .There is very huge demand of such type of automated IOT based system in smart cities to simply the work of human beings.

The cost of RFID IOT based car parking system is almost near about one thousand rupees which is quite cost effective rather than manual parking system. It also easy to install and installation time is very small. The man power required to operate this type of system is also very low as compare to manual car parking system. One person can easily operate small parking arenas. Due to this, operating cost, admin cost and maintenance cost is also low in case of RFID IOT based car parking system.

• Embedded C Language : All the hardware interface coding has been done in Embedded C Language
• PHP : All the business logic and the web interface has been written in PHP
• MySQL : MySQL database has been used as database for the project
• Apache 2 : The web interface is running over the apache2 server
• JavaScript : For from validations and animation effects
• JQuery Library : We have used many of the jQuery Library in the project such as Calendar
